Thesis
As an MGD candidate nearing graduation, my developing thesis consumes my every thought. I’m investigating the impact design can have on policymaking, particularly focusing on visualizing the issue of undocumented immigrant workers and the effect of their potential enrollment in educational institutions.
Within this study, how can design strategies take citizens from a state of being ‘not ready to hear’ a particular issue to ‘advocates for a position.’ The immigrant/education issue is complex for policymakers and average citizens to understand, and I believe design can contextualize it and make it accessible.
